Galleria degli Uffizi means the Uffizi Gallery is an art museum located in Tuscany, Italy. It is located just three minutes' walking distance from the Ponte Vecchio. The museum was established in the year 1581. Its construction was started in 1560 for Cosimo I de Medici. Elike Schmidt is currently serving as the director of the museum. It can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday from 8:15 am to 6:30 pm. It remains closed on Monday.
