About EYE Film Institute
EYE Film Institute Netherlands is a cinema, film collection as well as a museum. The place is home to various Dutch and foreign films screened in the Netherlands. You can arrive at the place by taking a ferry from the North exit of Amsterdam Central Station. It is situated in the Overhoeks near Amsterdam. The building traces its history from the foundation of the Dutch Historical Film Archive created by Felix Halverstad, David van Staveren, Paul Kijzer, and directors of Filmtheater Kriterion Piet Meerburg. It got its current name in April 2012. The museum is open every day between ten in the morning till seven in the evening, however, remains closed on the 8th of December and 27th of April. The entrance to the museum is free of cost, while the tickets for the temporary exhibitions are about 15 Euro per person while the Movie screening is about 12 Euro.
