About Chongqing Natural History Museum
Chongqing Natural History Museum as the name suggests is a museum of natural history located in Chongqing municipality of China. It was established in 1944. The new building of the museum is spread in an area of 14.4 hectares consisting of six exhibition halls. Approximately 70000 specimens of animals, Paleontology, minerals, and plants are kept in the museum. They also display Stone Age period wares. It could be visited from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. The museum remains closed on Monday.
