About Taman Proklamasi
Taman Proklamasi is a monument located in Central Jakarta. It was inaugurated in January 1961 by President Sukarno after six years of construction. The monument is situated at the place where the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence was first read by Sukarno. The monument could be visited any day of the week between 5:00 am to 9:00 pm. There is no entry fee to visit the monument.
How To Reach Taman Proklamasi
You can easily reach the site take bus routes number 4A, 4C, and 5 A. The nearby bus stations are Tugu Proklamasi and Jalan Tambak 1 situated at a distance of 3 minute and 7-minute walk respectively. You can also go there by Train Ka Bandara Soekarno - Hatta or Loop Line in which you have to get off either at Cikini of Manggarai and after a 13 to 17-minute walk you will reach the destination.
