About Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas
Omkarananda Ashram is located on the western bank of river Ganga. It was established by H.D. Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati. The ashram also runs schools for poor children. Here the visitors gain spiritual experience at the beautiful location just below the foot of the Himalayas and close to the holy river Ganga. Prayers and Mantras are recited throughout the day. The meditation classes, bhajans, yagnas also makes the experience divine. The ashram was founded by H.D. Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati in 1967. However, current chief is Swami Vishveshwarananda Saraswati. No fee is charged to visit the ashram. It could be visited any day of the week between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

You can easily go there by bus, leaving your bus either at Rishikesh Bus Stop or at Laxman Jhula bus stand or Char dham Yatri bus stand. After arriving there, you can take any local means of transport to reach the desired location.
