About Buddha Monastery
Buddha Monastery is one of the popular tourist spot located in Clement Town, Dehradun. It is one of the largest Buddhist centres in India. It was established by Khochhen Rinpoche in 1965 and comes under Tibetan Nyingma School. The monastery educates over 300 monks which advances Buddhist studies to the upcoming generations. No entry fee is charged. It remains open from 8:00 am to 12:00pm and 2:00 pm to 7:00pm in summers while in winters opening time is shifted to 9:00 am and it closes at 6:00 pm. To avoid rush, you can visit the monastery on working days.

Monastery is located at a distance of four kilometers from ISBT Dehradun and several transport options are available which will take you to the monastery.

You can take a local bus or an auto (vikram) to clement town to reach the monastery conveniently.

You can also go there by your own personal vehicle and big parking lot is provided by the monastery to safeguard your vehicle.
Train
Dehradun railway station is well-connected by numerous trains going to the station. The site is just nine kilometers away from the Dehradun station. You can take an auto or vikram, outside station to reach the monastery.
