Petak Sembilan is a popular street market located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The market is popular for a fresh supply of meat, vegetables, and snacks. It is situated in the center of Chinatown in Jakarta. It is also said that a visit to Chinatown Jakarta is incomplete without this market. Though it is a Chinatown market but is much different from other Chinatowns in Southeast Asia. The merchants here are genuine and the atmosphere is also healthy. You can visit the market between 5:00 am to 4:00 pm from Sunday to Friday while on Saturday the opening timings are 5:00 am to 7:30 pm

You can easily go to the market by taking a bus of routes number 1A, B02, and M08 which leave you close to the market. If you prefer a train ride then you can take pink and red lines trains in which you have to get off at Jalan Kemenangan 1 which is just 100 meters away from the destination.
