About Kepulauan Seribu
Kepulauan Seribu is a group of islands in the north of Jakarta's coast. It has 342 islands covering an area of 8.70 kilometers square. Twenty-three islands in the area are private and public visit is not allowed there. However, 11 islands feature resorts and two islands are historic parks. Some of the islands are abandoned or are the fishing villages. The national park in the area was founded in October 1982. It is managed by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
How To Reach Kepulauan Seribu
You can easily reach the regency with a boat from the harbors like Kali Adem, Marina Ancol, Sunda Kelapa, TanjungPasir Harbor, and CituisRawaSaban. Speedboats from the Marina Ancol area are also available. Taking a ferry from SundaKelapa is also a good option with a ticket price ranging from IDR 15000 to IDR 125000.
