About Dalhousie Agricultural Campus

Based in the beautiful province of Nova Scotia, Canada, the Faculty of Agriculture is a section of the Dalhousie University. It is an agriculture college which was founded in 1905. Dr. David Gray is serving as the Dean of the college. It remains open from Monday to Friday between 6:00 am to 10:00 pm while on Saturday, the opening timings are 1:00-5:00 pm and on Sunday it opens from 1:00 to 10:00 pm.

Some Lesser Known Facts About Dalhousie Agricultural Campus

The university provides education to the students about the science related to agriculture, horticulture, environmental sciences, and other subjects.
They also offer courses relating to Bio-veterinary Science, Pre-Veterinary Medicine, Dairy Business Management, and other courses for the good health of farm animals and increase in the supply of animal products.
The university also offers a barley ring which is the official ring for the Faculty of Agriculture. It is made with 14k white and yellow gold or stainless steel.
The campus also faced a huge fire in 1946 in which the science building of the college was destroyed. The new building was opened in 1953 and was named Harlow Institute.
The university has also maintained different gardens including Butterfly Garden, Alumni Garden, Herb Garden, and Rock Garden. It allows visitors to come and admire the garden but dogs are not allowed in the garden.
