VOC Galangan History, Travel Information, Facts And More

VOC Galangan is a historical destination located in Batavia. It was an important shipyard at the time of the VOC era serving the Dutch. It had four faces at the time but now is home to two main buildings with a Chinese café and restaurant. It is an important place to learn history as well as entertainment. There is no entry fee to visit the place. You can visit the place between 10:00 am to 10:00 pm any day of the week.

The buses of route number B06, M25, and P02 all go to the location. You can take a ride in any of these who leave you at Museum Bahari 1, or Jalan Pakin 2, or at Jalan Tongkol all of these are so close to the site and take only 2 or 3 minutes to walk to reach the destination. Simpang Pakin2 is also a nearby bus station situated at a distance of a 6-minute walk from the place. If you prefer a train ride then you can opt for either Bekasi Line or Central Line and you have to get off at Jakarta Kota train station situated at a distance of 21-minute walk from the location.
