Merdeka Square as the name suggests is a square located in the capital city Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia. It is an important place located in front of a nineteenth-century building named Sultan Abdul Samad Building. It was called Selangor Club Padang or Padang as the club used to play cricket on this ground. The square could be visited anytime any day as it is open 24 hours.

How To Reach Merdeka Square
The square is easily accessible using Light Rail Transit and the nearest train station is Masjid Jamek station. Take a five-minute walk you will at the square. If you are going there by bus then your bus will leave you at Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad. If you get off at Menara Uab or Muzium Tekstil Negara, the square is just 4 or 5 minutes away from you. Menara Bank Rakyat, Bangunan Maybank and Little India at Lebuh Ampang are also nearby bus station.
