Kazan Kremlin is a historical fortress located in Kazan city of Russia. It was built in the 16th century on the order of Ivan the Terrible. Before this magnificent fortress, there was a castle named Kazan Khans located at the place. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. It consisted of many old buildings including Annunciation Cathedral. The structure was constructed using local pale sandstone in place of bricks.
