Frankenstein Castle as the name suggests is a castle located in Darmstadt city of Germany. It is located on the Odenwald mountain range at a height of 370 meters on the Bergstraße Route. The castle is known for its vineyards and its mild climate. The castle was built by Lord Conrad II Reiz of Breuberg before 1250. The castle was an inspiration for Mary Shelly who has penned a Gothic novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus in 1818.
