About Gedung Pancasila
Gedung Pancasila is an old building situated in Jakarta of Indonesia. It is one of the colonial landmarks in the province of Jakarta. The building was made in the 1830s in Indies Empire style by architect J. Tromp. It is now administered by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is converted into a museum. It could be visited between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday. It remains closed on Saturday and Sunday. No entry fee is charged to visit the museum.

You can easily reach the museum as it is located close to other important landmarks like Immanuel Church, Galeri Nasional, and Masjid Istiqlal. The museum is situated in the east of Merdeka Square.
Some Lesser Known Facts About Gedung Pancasila
- It is important under the political history of Indonesia because the first president Sukarno explained the concept of the foundation of the Indonesian Nation on June 1, 1945, at this place.
- It was residing place of a German born Dutch Royal Army Commander Prince (Hertog) Bernhard van Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach.

- The building serves as a venue for many important ceremonies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs now a day.

- It has witnessed different ruler's changes of powers and other changes in the political history of the country. It was the residence of the Dutch Royal Army Commander after which it housed the Volksraad of the Dutch East Indies. It was occupied by the Japanese in 1942 and Indonesia became an independent country later on and took control of the building.
