Fort and Shalamar Gardens is a historical landmark situated in Lahore, Pakistan. It was founded by the Mughal empire in 1642 to entertain their guest. It was inspired by the Shalimar Garden in Kashmir which was made by Emperor Jahangir. The garden was designed as a Persian-style Charbagh. It is situated close to Baghbanpura along Grand Trunk Road. It was designated as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 1981. The garden could be visited between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm all days of the week
