Joseph Baptista Garden History, Hotels, Fare, Facts And More

Joseph Baptista Gardens is a beautiful park located in Mazagaon, South Mumbai, India. The park is also known as Mazagaon Gardens. It is spread in an area of 1.5 acres where you can admire the magnificent garden decorated with flowering plants like hibiscus, bougainvillea, ixora and Cycas. The park is also known for providing wonderful view of the Mumbai harbor. It could be visited any time between 5:00 am to 9:00 pm, all the seven days of the week, without paying any entry fee.

The garden is located in Mazagaon, South Mumbai at an accessible location behind Dockyard Road railway station. There are several option to reach there:

Train
Dockyard Road railway station is the nearest railway station to the location. However, you can also reach the park from Sandhurst Road, Wadi Bunder Yard, Ghatkopar Metro Station and Jagruit Nagar. You can walk or take a rickshaw after reaching these station to reach the destination.

Bus
If you are going there by bus, then leave your bus at one of the nearest bus station like Mazgaon bus Depot, Dockyard Road Railway Station. Wadi bunder bus stop, Maharana Pratap Chowk, and Agripada Bus Stop. The garden is very close from these bus stands, a simple walk can take you to the location.

Walk
The park is located close to popular locations like JJ Hospital, from there you can reach the park on foot.
