Speyer Cathedral is an ancient Roman Catholic church situated in Speyer, Germany. The church is a seat of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Speyer and is subordinate to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bamberg. It is dedicated to St.Mary, St.Stephen, and the patron saint of Speyer. It was founded in 1030 at the request of Konard II. It is the largest Romanesque church including Abbey of Cluny. It was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 1981. From Monday to Saturday, the cathedral opens every morning at 9:00 am and closes at 7:00 pm while on Sunday it opens at 11:30 am and closes at 5:00 pm.
