About Trippe Holly Grove Cemetery
It is the historic cemetery situated near the city of McGehee in Arkansas (USA). It is the oldest graveyard built in 1857. The inception of the cemetery was accredited to the families of William Fletcher Trippe along with his brother-in-law. The cemetery covers an area of around two acres and it is separated into two sections by AR highway 4.

Some Lesser Known Facts About Trippe Holly Grove Cemetery
- The cemetery is only a surviving element of the Trippe junction community. A group of citizens in 1958 raised a fund in order to maintain the cemetery.
- The north section of the cemetery still continues to new burials.
- Most of the graves in the cemetery are of immigrants who used to run various businesses across the Trippe junction.
- The very earliest grave in the cemetery is of an infant who died very early in the age of one month. His name was Benjamin Scott McGehee.

- In June 1999, a south section of the cemetery was designated as a historic place and added to the NRHP. Around 90 graves in the south section are considered historic graves.
