Jeruk Purut Cemetery as the name suggests is a cemetery located in Jakarta. It spread in an area of 9.12 hectares. The cemetery is open 24 hours having an average of burials of 300 per month. It is a well-maintained cemetery with graves of legends like Ryan Hidayat, Arie Hanggara, Bob Sadino, and Susiana. It was created in 1978. The cemetery is said to be haunted and many travelers visit the site in the nighttime to see whether these talks are really true or not.

Some Lesser Known Facts About Jeruk Purut Cemetery

One of the most popular talks about the cemetery was of the ghost of the headless pastor. According to some reports, he appears on Friday night carrying his head with a big black dog looking for his grave. Though his grave is in Tanah Kusir Cemetery. Also there are more stories told by the locals is of a child and large hairy ghoul. It could not be said whether these stories are true or not but the cemetery is catching the attention of both believers and non-believers resulting in the visit of the site by many people.
