About Wartburg Castle
Wartburg Castle is a castle located in Eisenach town of Thuringia state of Germany. It was constructed in the Middle Ages in about 1067 AD. The castle is located on a 410 meter high very steep rock. The castle was made using Gothic, Renaissance, and Romanesque architecture. It is the second-most visited place in Thuringia, the first being Weimar. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.
