About Schwetzingen Castle
Schwetzingen Castle is a palace located in the Baden-Württemberg state of Germany. The castle was a summer residence of the Electors Palatine Charles III Philip and Charles IV Theodore. It was constructed in the period of 1700 and 1750 by replacing an older moated castle. The Heidelberg architect Johann Adam Breunig was assigned the duty of planning the castle. It was made as a hunting lodge for ohann Wilhelm von der Pfalz.
