Neuschwanstein Castle is a castle located on a hill in the Hohenschwangau village of Bavaria in Germany. The construction of the castle started in 1869 as a private residence of King Ludwig. But the King died in 1886 before the castle could be completed. It was open to the public after a small time of the king's death. Over a million people visit the castle every year. It can be visited between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm throughout the week. If you want to reach the castle by car then it took only two hours from Munich while if you want to come here by train the last station is Fussen from where you can take a bus to Hohenschwangau village. Children under 18 are free to visit the castle while Euro 13 are charged for an adult. The senior citizen and students can also apply for a concession.
