About Hasting House
Hasting House is an old building that was constructed at the time of the British Raj. The building was made about 250 years before for the first Governor General of India, Warren Hasting. On whose name the house is named. It was also used as a lodge for Indian princes for a small-time. Though the building is now used as a university in day times, it is said that it is haunted by three ghosts at night.

Some Lesser Known Facts About Hasting House
- Not one or two, but three ghosts haunt the place. First to talk is the ghost of Warren Hasting himself. As he used to live in the house, he still comes to the house to check if his valuables are placed in the right condition. He comes to visit the house with a carriage drawn by four horses. Many claims that they saw the spirit entering the floor upstairs, while others say that they heard footsteps and voices of some horses going under the house.
- Another ghost is of a boy. According to the locals, a group of boys was playing football on the ground. The ball hit on the chest of one boy, who died on the spot. Other boys ran away in fear. Many people have witnessed a boy standing on the ground waiting for his friends to play with him.
- There is also a ghost of a white horse who used to live in the house. The owner of the house loved horses, the especially white one was his favorite. One night, a man who was jealous of the owner shot the horse who died in the house. The locals say that the spirit of the horse is seen by many people at night, but disappears after a while.
